Memorial weekend went well for Team BOHHICA racing in Grants Pass, Oregon. Ryan Ringer captured the crown in the Jet Boat race with a total time of 59 minutes and 37 seconds over nearly 90 miles.
After day one, Ringer held only a 7 second lead over Roseburg rival Paul Bagshaw.
The two battled Saturday over 30 miles and were extremely close in
times down and up. Day two began with Ringer first out of
Baker Park tearing down stream with fury.

“I knew Paul was going to be chasing hard and Brett
and I needed to be on our A game with our race lines in the river.
I had the luxury of being the chaser on Saturday, but roles were
reversed on Sunday” said Ringer.
Team BOHHICA had a great weekend of racing. Teammates George Edwards and Greg Boice took to the waters in their respected classes with fury. Both drivers entered the race knowing that they were at serious speed deficiencies, but vowed to out-drive the class.
George’s class was stacked with competition. The defending 2006 Salmon River sport jet champion was back along with a 3 time B Class World Champion testing the waters of the sport jet class. George put the pedal to the floor running great lines all weekend, but could not make up for the speed advantages. George brought home Silver, but felt like it was a very successful race. “To be in the running to win the race on the last leg with the caliber of the other drivers and boats is awesome.” Karey Crawford, the winner, drove well and his boat was fast.
